The Union Cabinet Committee on economic affairs has approved a total allocation of 3.7 lakh crores towards fertiliser subsidies for this year. The approved 3.7 lakh crore will go towards a bouquet of fertilizer schemes, including the Prime Minister's PRANAM scheme, urea scheme, and organic manure scheme, to boost the wellbeing of farmers, rejuvenate soil productivity, and ensure food security and environmental sustainability.

The Union cabinet on Wednesday approved the national green hydrogen mission, allocating ₹19,744 crores to produce 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030.
