The Centre announced today that it will investigate the claim that WhatsApp improperly accessed the microphone on users' devices. This after an engineer for Twitter alleged earlier this week that WhatsApp had been utilising his microphone while he was asleep. The Indian government also took note of the matter, Union Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar said that the matter will be looked into.
